The fourth release of this captivating series of whiskies from the team at the wonderful Fettercairn Distillery. Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and port pipes, bottled non chill filtered with a natural colour and at a punchy yet balanced ABV of 46.4%. The first edition was also aged on port pipes and this, like the original, is an absolute belter. Squishy berry notes with a touch of plum, cacao, vanilla, and butterscotch. Typical light, bright, tropical fruits on the palate, with sugared almonds and floral top notes on the nose. Utterly delicious and a tad moreish.
The Distillery The Distillery
Located in the foothills of Scotland's Cairngorms, the Fettercairn Distillery has access to exceptionally pure water. Not only do they use this as a key ingredient in their whisky making they also use it to cool their copper still whilst in operation, which adds condensation on the inside ensuring only the finest vapours can rise to the top for collection! The development of this process has led to a signature style showing wonderful floral notes with plenty of stone and tropical fruit.
