Is there anything better than a chilled glass of rosé on a sunny afternoon? With so many delicious options to choose from, we’ve made life super easy for you by selecting our top rosé wines to drink this summer.
Let’s kick things off with a pretty French rosé that’s landed on our shores in time for summer. This beautiful light pink Grenache blend is crafted in a lovely easy-to-enjoy style, has loads of raspberry goodness, a lively texture that dances across your palate and a crisp, minerally finish. Made from grapes harvested by the Mediterranean Sea, it offers a bright, dry palate and a French Riviera-inspired label that’ll truly transport your taste buds.

When we think of summer rosés, it’s impossible not to think of the Provence region. A signature pale pink Provencal rosé, this offering from the French Riviera is fresh, fragrant and elegant, with bright red berry and youthful zest at its core. We’d recommend pairing this with a simple summer salad, a classic ratatouille or seafood you’d typically find in the South of France.

From the winemaker of the hugely popular Black Pig range, this award winning Grenache rosé captures the flavours of South Australian summertime. Rose petal and strawberry-scented, it’s light, floral and fruity. Previously voted ‘Best Rosé’ at the London Wine Awards, this has surely got to make an appearance on your summer wine list!

With a staggering seven awards under its belt, this quintessential Provence pink is truly at the top of its game. Following organic and biodynamic winemaking principles, the winemaker is able to carefully craft a wine that authentically expresses the terroir of the region, completely free from chemicals. You’ll find alluring notes of exotic fruits on the nose, followed by red fruits, subtle spices and minerality on the palate.

An impressive offering from Germany, this Pinot Noir pink is as close to bone dry as you can get with this style of wine. Being produced in the Pfalz region means that it has a noticeable acidity, leading to a bright, thirst-quenching palate that’ll keep you cool as a cucumber on a hot summer’s day. Presented in a frosted bottle, this pale blush German vino will be a real talking point at your dinner table.

One of our all time customer favourites (and a big hit in the Virgin Wines office too!), this bountiful Californian blush beauty will lure you in with its racy red fruit aromatics and palate. This one’s a great match with fiery grilled prawns, classic fish curry, grilled salmon… basically, think seafood dishes that pack a bit of a flavour punch.

It doesn’t get much classier than a Pinot Noir Sancerre from the Loire region. These pale pink wines are known for being delicate and sophisticated, offering a creamy red fruit palate with refreshing mineral undertones. No summer rosé wine rack would be complete without it, especially if you’re planning garden catch ups where you’re looking to wow your guests.

Get to know this pale, dry Chilean rosé by our friends at De Martino. Pretty as a picture with charming drinkability, this attractive rosé is so much more than meets the eye… Made from Malbec, giving it fresh red berry compote flavours, floral aromatics and a mouth-watering acidity, this is a pink wine that’s full of flavour and character. Serve it with veggie BBQ skewers, a charcuterie board, or pan fried salmon for a summer wine pairing of dreams.
