Let’s start things off in style with a superb Malbec from prized, high-altitude vineyards in Argentina’s iconic Mendoza region. This part of the world is truly synonymous with top-tier Malbec, so you just know this is going to be good! Deeply coloured with ripe tannins and sumptuous flavours of fresh blueberry, black cherry and clove, Wild Elevation is a masterpiece from winemaker Stephen Huse that combines power and finesse.

Malbec may be king of the vineyard in Argentina, but it started its life as a French grape. This famous fruit originated in southwestern France, which is exactly where our next wine is made. Taking us back to its roots, this Mediterranean Malbec offers a pretty purple hue in the glass (the lavender fields on the label are a nod to this, as well as being a homage to Provence) and masses of sweet fruitiness. Expect silky smooth tannins, an expressive nose and a fruity character that’s uncomplicated by oak.

In the shadow of the Andes, Luján de Cuyo is an area that’s also known as the ‘cradle of Malbec’ due to the historic old vines and exceptional quality of the grapes found here. This is where Amada Vista is made, giving it a complex palate of juicy fruit and chocolate praline with hints of violet and spice. Using only the most premium parcels of grapes that have taken in qualities of the gravelly soils, we’re expecting this one to really wow Malbec fans.

Typical notes of blackberry, bramble, plum and cherry certainly contribute to Malbec’s appeal, and you can even find flavours of vanilla, chocolate and liquorice in examples from warmer climates.
