10 Classic Prosecco Cocktail Recipes
By Lucy Hazleton
We have a stunning range of Prosecco for you to choose from so make sure you order in before getting cracking! Our favourites are the classic Senti Prosecco and delicious Il Colmo, which both have 4 plus star ratings from over 2,000 customers. If you like then any of these can be made into pink cocktails by simply using rosé Prosecco.
All our recipes listed are for one serving so just multiply if you want more!
Bellini
The traditional bellini is made with peach purée. You can buy this ready-made but if you want to make it yourself just chop up some fresh white peaches (or canned peaches even) and whizz in a blender until smooth.
Ingredients:
- 100ml Prosecco
- 50ml peach purée
Method:
- Put the peach purée in a Champagne flute.
- Fill up with the Prosecco slowly.
Aperol Spritz
The classic Italian cocktail made with Aperol and Prosecco is the ultimate aperitif. With just three ingredients it couldn’t be easier to make!
Ingredients:
- 75ml Prosecco
- 50ml Aperol
- 25ml soda
Method:
- Fill a large wine glass or gin glass with ice.
- Pour in the prosecco followed by the Aperol.
- Top up with around 25ml of soda.
- Garnish with a slice of orange if you like.
Negroni Sbagliato
This is a lighter take on the classic Negroni cocktail. Most people like a red vermouth for this because of the lovely red colour but any kind of sweet vermouth will work flavour-wise.
Ingredients:
- 30ml sweet vermouth
- 30ml Campari
- 30ml Prosecco
Method:
- Fill a tumbler with ice.
- Add the vermouth and Campari and stir.
- Add the Prosecco and stir again.
- Garnish with a slice of orange if you like.
Hibiscus Prosecco
If you want a sparkling cocktail that’s easy to make and gorgeous to look at then this is the recipe for you. The real hibiscus flower looks so pretty and you can eat it at the end if you like!
Ingredients:
- hibiscus flowers (jarred in syrup)
- 125ml Prosecco
Method:
- Put a whole hibiscus flower into the bottom of a Champagne flute.
- Add 1tsp of the hibiscus syrup.
- Fill up with chilled Prosecco.
Pornstar Martini
This is a bit of an odd one as the Prosecco isn’t actually mixed in the cocktail. Instead you have a chilled shot of Prosecco on the side which you drink before the cocktail to cleanse your palate. A vanilla flavoured vodka works particularly well if you have it.
Ingredients:
- 40ml passionfruit liqueur
- 30ml vanilla vodka
- 15ml lemon or lime juice
- 2 fresh passionfruit
- 50ml Prosecco
Method:
- Scoop out the flesh and seeds of one passionfruit and put it in a cocktail shaker alongside the vodka, passionfruit liqueur and lemon or lime juice.
- Add ice and shake well.
- Strain into a coupe or martini glass and garnish with a slice of passionfruit.
- Serve alongside a shot of Prosecco.
Mimosa
The mimosa is traditionally made with Champagne but Prosecco will work just as well. It’s the ultimate simple cocktail with equal parts Prosecco and fresh orange juice.
Ingredients:
- 75ml Prosecco
- 75ml fresh orange juice
Method:
- Half fill a Champagne flute with Prosecco (which should be around 75ml).
- Fill to the top with the fresh orange juice.
Italian 75
The Italian version of the French 75! This recipe uses limoncello which makes it super fresh and zesty. A really good cocktail to make for celebrations.
Ingredients:
- 25ml gin
- 25ml limoncello
- 100ml Prosecco
- 1 lemon
Method:
- Cut the lemon and squeeze out about 15ml of juice.
- Put the lemon juice, gin and limoncello into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake.
- Strain into a Champagne flute.
- Top up with Prosecco and use the rest of the lemon as a garnish.
Hugo Spritz
Like other spritz recipes this is a light refreshing cocktail, especially suited to a warm summer afternoon! The hero flavour here is elderflower which you can get from an elderflower liqueur as we’ve done or from elderflower syrup if you prefer.
Ingredients:
- 60ml Prosecco
- 20ml elderflower liqueur
- 15ml soda water
- lime
- Handful of fresh mint leaves
Method:
- Put some ice in a large wine glass or gin glass.
- Add the mint leaves and muddle.
- Add the Prosecco, elderflower liqueur, soda water and stir.
- Add slices of lime and serve.
Kir Royale
Delicious crème de cassis adds bold blackcurrant flavour to this very simple but very effective Prosecco cocktail.
Ingredients:
- 125ml Prosecco
- 20ml crème de cassis
- A few raspberries
Method:
- Add the crème de cassis to a Champagne flute.
- Fill to the top with Prosecco.
- Add raspberries to serve.
Sgroppino
This delicious Italian invention is also great served as a dessert. We recommend a nice clean vodka like the Distil:31 Rocker Vodka to use for this one.
Ingredients:
- 1 scoop lemon sorbet or granita
- 50ml chilled Prosecco
- 30ml chilled vodka
Method:
- Remove the sorbet or granita from the freezer five minutes in advance to soften it up a little.
- Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend for 10 seconds to combine.
- Serve into a chilled glass to keep it cool and garnish with lemon if you like.
