Rhône Valley Tourism: Things to do in the Famous Wine Region

When we think of Rhône, we think of some of the world’s most famous French wines, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape or fruity, easy drinking Côtes du Rhône reds. But this is also a region with a rich, prehistoric heritage, sprinkled with Roman, Medieval and UNESCO-classified architecture across its patchwork of prestigious wine estates and pretty vineyards.

With its legendary history, and its title of being the second largest wine producing region in France, it comes as no surprise that the Rhône Valley attracts over 10 million wine tourists every year. We take a closer look at what’s on offer in the region, and how Rhône winemakers are responding to the global interest in the valley’s culture and history.
