It’s Harvest Time in the Loire Valley!

By James Batt

Summer is over in the Loire Valley meaning harvest season is now in full swing. Often starting in the first few days of September and continuing until mid-November, winemakers are working their socks off to harvest all of the juicy grapes ready to work their magic and turn them into delicious wine.

With such a range of grape varieties grown in this region, Loire is one of the most diverse regions you will find in France – and a complex one too, thanks to its sheer size. With heaps of natural beauty and steeped in history, it’s a region full of intrigue, making it even more exciting.
