Discovering Ribera del Duero: A Region Famed for its Fine Wines

A region with a thriving wine scene, bursting at the seams with some of the finest vino you’ll find in Spain, and arguably the world. Ribera del Duero has a long history of winemaking, thought to have started over 2,000 years ago. It may therefore come as a surprise that the region was granted DO status in just 1982, when winemakers were eager to protect the quality of their produce and really show the world what they had to offer.

Since then, they have done an outstanding job at building a reputation based on fine wines with diversity and uniqueness at their core. So, what makes this region quite so special and why is it such a hot topic in the world of wine? We dive deep into Ribera del Duero to find out.
