The last year or so has presented unprecedented challenges for people in many walks of life, and those within the drinks industry are no exception. The Drinks Trust is a charitable organisation that has worked to provide essential resources to vulnerable members of the drinks industry, including wellness and financial services support, since 1886. Since the start of the pandemic, demand for their work has significantly increased, with thousands of members of the drinks and hospitality industry applying for assistance via their hardship fund and other crucial services.
We’ve teamed up with Australian wine brand, Aberdeen Wine Company, to offer support to The Drinks Trust the best way we know how – by selling lots of lovely wine! The Aussie winemakers have very generously donated their bestselling, hugely popular Angus The Bull Cabernet Sauvignon for us to sell on our website, with all profits going directly to the Drinks Trust.
Hamish Magowan, Owner of Aberdeen Wine Company, knows all too well how difficult the last year has been for many in his industry, and is keen to help in any way he can;

Every year, the team at the Aberdeen Wine Company hand-select premium Cabernet grapes sourced from a number of outstanding vineyards across Australia’s Central Victoria wine region to produce a rich and luscious red vino that’s ideal for pairing with beef.
In this wonderfully complex red masterpiece, you’ll find blackcurrant, dried herb, cedar and a touch of cocoa on the nose, followed by lashings of fruity flavours along with chalky tannins on the palate. With a supple mouthfeel and lovely long finish, it’s a very well structured wine that’s sure to enhance any red meat dish – as well as give you that feel-good factor for helping a good cause.
