This family affair wine is a symphony of gooseberry, blackcurrant leaf fruit overlaid with hints of citrus and mineral. It's been 20 years since Eric took over from father Pierre at his small estate in Pouilly. Eric's childhood was in the vineyards, observing and helping his parents. Inheriting a love of the land, he then studied viticulture and soon began working alongside his father. Father Pierre retired in 1998, so brothers Eric and Pascal teamed up, with the occasional fatherly help still on hand.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Eric Marchand
Domaine Marchand lies within the village of Lodges in the Loire Valley. The unique soils of the vineyards here add structure and minerality to the Sauvignon Blanc grape and the whole process takes places on site from vinification to bottling. Eric, along with his brother Pascal are continuing on their father's work of producing truly outstanding Pouilly-Fumé.
