We asked our friends at Sherwood's "how can we maintain quality Sauvignon without a massive price rise?" They offered us the chance to blend in some premium fruit from the lesser known Waipara Valley, where warmer, drier conditions deliver wines that are fuller and more glamorous. The result here is brilliant. We'd argue a good deal better than a large amount of the straight Marlborough wines out there. Full of all the zesty freshness you'd expect but with added depth and a slight tropical concentration.
