Although this is labelled Western Cape, it's actually blended from parcels grown in Paarl and the Coastal Region. This is where some of South Africa's best and most prestigious wines come from. Not only does it come from a great location, but it also comes from a cracking vintage. A hot summer with low rainfall in the Cape resulted in a super-low yields of high-quality grapes. This sounds bad, but it's actually a good thing for you - as the resulting wines end up having pronounced aromatics and flavours.
