The Taceo bottle alongside a platter of delicious food

Taceo Cabernet Shiraz 2023

Five-star limited edition Aussie masterpiece from top-secret elite-level producer

Our good friend Steve Grimley has managed to secure a small parcel of an exceptional Cabernet Shiraz. We can't reveal the winery – but what we can say is that this is a seriously impressive wine, offered at a price that would be impossible if the producer's name appeared on the label. By reserving for a £1-per-bottle deposit, you can secure an exclusive price from just £11.99 per bottle (after deposit) upon dispatch in June.

The £120 Secret Behind TACEO

The producer behind TACEO is one of South Australia’s most exciting names - crafting small-batch reds that regularly command between £60 - £120 a bottle under their own label. Their wines have earned 95+ point scores from world leading critics, with their Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz blends celebrated for their depth, elegance and beautifully polished style.

Every detail reflects their meticulous approach to winemaking. Individual vineyard blocks are picked at optimum ripeness, gently handled through small open fermenters, basket pressed and matured in French oak barrels to build incredible layers of flavour, texture and complexity.

However, a producer of this calibre has a reputation to protect, so we’ve bottled this exceptional parcel under TACEO - Latin for “keep secret” - allowing you to enjoy an elite Australian red for a fraction of its usual price.

The Label Is a Secret. The Quality Isn’t.

From the first pour, it’s immediately clear this is a wine with serious pedigree. Deep and concentrated in the glass, it opens with intense aromas of cassis, black cherry and ripe dark plum, layered with hints of cedar, warming spice and dark chocolate.

On the palate, the Cabernet Sauvignon brings elegance, structure and beautifully refined tannins, while the Shiraz adds richness, generosity and waves of plush dark fruit. It’s powerful without being heavy - combining classic South Australian intensity with the freshness and finesse that makes Eden Valley so special.

The finish is long, smooth and beautifully balanced, with lingering notes of spice and perfectly integrated oak. A seriously impressive red that deserves equally big flavours - think flame-grilled lamb, smoky barbecue dishes, slow-cooked beef brisket or a chunk of mature cheddar.
