Turn Water Into Wine
It’s never been easier to dazzle your guests. Just grab a flat sheet of plastic (or make one yourself using old packaging) and two wine glasses – one glass of water and one glass of wine.
Place the plastic over the top of the glass of water and carefully tip the glass to sit on top of the glass of wine. Then gently slide the plastic away leaving a small gap and watch as the glass of water turn magically into wine.
The Classic Wine Glass over a Candle Party Trick
Can we have a drum roll please? Defy the laws of gravity with this simple trick.
Start by finding a dish and tipping the wax from a tea light into the middle. Pop the tea light on top of the wax and pour some red wine into the dish. Place the empty wine glass over the top of the candle and watch the wine rise up into the wine glass – and voila!
How Many Pennies Does it Take to Overflow a Glass of Wine?
Here’s an easy one…
Fill your wine glass to the brim with wine and ask your friends and family to guess how many pennies you can drop in the glass before it overflows.
You would be forgiven for assuming only a couple but you’ll actually be able to drop at least 10 because of the surface tension. That’s science for you.
