  • Drink this medal-winning, home-grown hero over French Champagne to keep more pennies in your pocket!
  • The crispness makes it ideal with oily fish such as salmon and smoked trout. It would be difficult to beat a glass of Bloomsbury alongside a refreshing sorbet.
  • Young, fresh and strawberry infused. A lovely hint of brioche. Fantastic!

The Wine

Country of origin:

England

Region:

Sussex

Guess where this attractive Champagne copycat comes from? West Sussex. It's true! With a little help from some great summer seasons and a handful of French experts, top-class wines such as this have begun emerging from the Ridgeview vineyards. Made with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, this fresh, accessible bubbly is a real talking point and a serious contender to its over-the channel neighbours.

The Winemakers

Ridgeview was founded in 1994 by Mike and Chris Roberts and is dedicated to creating world class sparkling wines in the South Downs of England. Our vineyards specialise in growing classic grape varieties to make the highest quality bottle fermented sparkling wines. The world class status of our wines is reflected by the number of national and international medals and trophies we have received since the release of our first wines from the 1996 vintage.

Fruit characters are very dominant with Chardonnay bringing not only citrus & grapefruit characters, but some tropical fruit. Brioche flavours will continue to develop and deepen over the next 2-3 years. Lovely, fine mousse with a light gold colour. Ready to drink now or keep for 3-4 years.

Customer ratings

a very pleasant surprise, A lot of bubbles meets a crisp, very dry structure with hints of citrus, peach & a light buttery finish.

Proof that British fizz is rivalling the foreign makers, very good tasting at reasonable cost.

Good buy, pretty robust, good lasting bubbles, fit for the job!
