Perez Cruz Winemaker's Selection 2011

Perez Cruz Winemaker's Selection 2011

  • A blend of Cabernet, Syrah and Cot - yummy.
  • Perfect wine to crack open and impress your mates with!
  • Why not try it along side a nice juicy steak?

It's a source of immense excitement that this wine is probably the best Perez Cruz creation that we have ever tasted. It's the very best that Maipo can produce, the region itself being one of the best in Chile for Bordeaux varietals (which this contains aplenty). A wonderful accompaniment to red meat dishes - enjoy it with your Sunday roasts. Get in there before everyone finds out about this gem.

Andrew Baker talks about Perez Cruz Winemaker's Selection.

"This wine comes from Maipo Alto, the hallowed ground that is home to Perez Cruz’s best plots. The whole region has an excellent growing reputation for fine red wine already, and Perez Cruz are looking to take it to the next level."

German Lyon

Winemaker: Germán Lyon

Winery: Vina Perez Cruz

Country: Chile

Vina Perez Cruz is a multi award winning winery receiving rave reviews from customers and wine writers alike. Their immaculate vineyards can be found in the Maipo Valley, long regarded as Chile's premium red grape producing region. Their vines are planted on a variety of soil types that imbue the grapes with distinct flavour characteristics. They firmly believe that every bottle of wine produced carefully reflects the 'terroir' of 'Maipo Valley.

Focusing on red wine production, Cabernet Sauvignon is at the heart of everything they do. Its thick skin and late ripening nature is a perfect match for the climate. They've planted several new varieties over the years so we will be working as closely as possible to bring new and exciting wines from these fast becoming Chilean masters.

A great Shiraz - the sort that really gives you a tingle on the tongue and a warm rosy glow in the stomach. Jammy flavours at the forefront and a peppery kick to finish things off. The kind of wine that would floor a side of beef in seconds.
