Discover the joy in buying wine online - the Virgin way. We're casual, our wines are smart and we get our kicks selling juice that we know will be mass approved - never mass produced. We specialise in bringing excitement to the palate. A rush of new-found flavour and texture that was not available off the peg. This is bespoke wine. It differs from the vast oceans of supermarket wine in every way. It seeks to thrill, where their wine seeks only to not offend.

Type: Cortese
Price: £8.99 each
One of the most important grapes that Araldica work with is Cortese, and we've noticed lately that there is an undeniable rising desire for sparkling wine. But not just any sparkling wine - some really decent, decadent stuff that won't carry a bewildering price tag. So Araldica have provided us with a sparkling Gavi carrying huge potential. This creation was lead by their talented winemaker, Claudio Manera, who has put years into perfecting the top quality tank method essential for a world class sparkler.

Type: Cabernet blend
Price: £19.99 each
It's a source of immense excitement that this wine is probably the best Perez Cruz creation that we have ever tasted. It's the very best that Maipo can produce, the region itself being one of the best in Chile for Bordeaux varietals (which this contains aplenty). A wonderful accompaniment to red meat dishes - enjoy it with your Sunday roasts. Get in there before everyone finds out about this gem.

Type: Cabernet blend
Price: £11.99 each
This wine is from the gravel and clay vines that sit atop the town of Cadillac, on the slopes of Côtes de Bordeaux. The soils are not dissimilar to those found in the best spots in Graves, and so with little persuasion give easy refinement to the wines that result. The slopes perfectly caught the sunshine in the near-perfect vintage.

Type: Cinsault blends
Price: £7.99 each
I have searched and searched for the Rosé that I want (selfish I know). That pretty, pale pink, light, tiny-bit-sweet but devastatingly, mouthwateringly, refreshing Rosé. And now I've found it. The young Languedoc gun of a winemaker, Jean Marie, may have eyebrows that caterpillars are sexually drawn to, but by 'eck he can make wine. Especially Rosé. And I just LOVE it.

Type: Sauvignon Blanc
Price: £9.99 each
When rubber-stamping the new vintage of one of your all-time favourite whites, Seraph Sauvignon, Francois Chainier, the winemaker, happened to mention an exciting stash of top-drawer boutique Sauvignon he'd been holding back for someone else. But, as I got there first we got the wine! Made using the best grapes from the Chainier family estate this is a straight up, classy swipe at fine Pouilly Fume. Fine and minerally with intense fruit.

Type: Chardonnay
Price: £10.99 each
For too long now we've had our Chardonnay blinkers on, since the grape took the world by storm some fifteen years ago and then suddenly fell from grace. Some of the very best whites in the world, from Corton in Burgundy, to Pierro et al in Oz, this is a grape that, done right, dazzles like none other. So we think it's a little premature to sound the death knell on its reign. And we asked old Adam Hooper in the McLaren Vale to sort us out one supporting that idea. Here's the absolute belter of a result.
