Type: Chardonnay
Price: £11.99 each
The Chardonnay for this wine is from one of the premium vineyard sites in the High Eden. These are among the highest vineyards in the Eden Valley, and while the cool climate allows for longer ripening periods leading to outstanding fruit development, this is a challenging environment with strong winds and rocky terrain. Known for its Chardonnay, this vineyard produces wines with classic aromas of peach, nectarine and nashi pear, along with citrus, clove and grilled nut flavours on the palate.

Type: Chenin Blanc
Price: £10.99 each
How brilliant to be able to approach our favourite Vouvray producer, Francois Chainier of Clos de Nouys, and have our wish for a bespoke Vouvray Sec granted by the man himself! Francois has some of the very finest of all Vouvray vineyards, next door to the stellar Domaine Huet (received wisdom is that Huet are the very best - Francois has a problem with this, naturally). He rears this classic in the very same tuffeau caves that his lovely Nouys sits in. A very pretty wine with plenty of character.

Type: Cortese
Price: £9.99 each
This wine is less about Italian flair, and more about Claudio's understanding that to express this wine's full glory a delicate and very precise hand is required. This is not about rigid or remedial tinkering in the winery, but about creating the right conditions for the juice to express itself. We love that. And it shows in the delicate nuance of the wine. Keeping it intuitive and natural doesn't imply loss of control.

Type: Riesling
Price: £11.99 each
Riesling is arguably the best white grape of them all, offering absolute cracking value for money too...but some are still reluctant to buy anything without Chardonnay on the label. Never oaked, this varietal is for those who like their wines crisp, fruity and with an invigorating 'whoosh' of acidity. This special creation will age brilliantly with its locked in freshness, courtesy of that screw cap, and should continue to develop for 5-6 years. Steely, floral, dry and the perfect partner to white meat.

Type: Picpoul
Price: £10.99 each
Domaine Cantié Picpoul de Pinet is one of a handful of estate wines from this virtually unknown appellation. The Cantié family have been making this wine from the often under appreciated local variety of picpoul for many generations and they are pretty darned good at it! Low yields in the vineyard and high-tech anaerobic winemaking in the winery preserves the beautiful briny mineral flavours found in this maritime classic.
