Pierre Chainier and his family have been producing beautifully-made and supremely well priced Sauvignon Blanc near the small market town of Amboise, once home to the French royal court, for generations. And it shows. This flavour-packed Sauvignon has racy, slick fruit and an abundance of crispness that belies its price point. In the glass, it is suggestive of its more illustrious neighbours, Sancerre et al.
very pleasant SB, very drinkable without the over-acid kick that some SB's can suffer from

Not enough flavour and aroma for my liking, but is pleasant enough and quite refreshing, leaning towards the acid side. It seems that VW's Italian whites may be a better choice in this price range, with the French ones improving in the £10-15 range.
Very crisp and fresh, difinitely a kiwi style, but not too Kiwi if you understand my meaning!
