Good wine never lies is the motto of Roques Mauriac, the makers of these bold new clarets. They are not afraid to experiment with new ideas coupled with the best tradition has to offer. The Premier Vin is a bright deep old-vine wine, with good red fruit and sweet wood on the palate. The makers recommend trying with steak and pan-fried Cep mushrooms, or wild boar ribs. If you can't find wild boar, try slow cooked leg of lamb. Ages very well.
