Bruwer Raats Granite Chenin Blanc 2008

We Say...

When we wanted Chenin of the highest quality, we went straight to the master, Bruwer Raats. He took us round his vineyard, we pointed out a tiny but exquisite and perfectly placed piece of land, with gorgeous granitic soil that we liked. After haggling he agreed to make us this pure unadulterated Chenin. It's full of lively verve, melons and honey, and it expresses the minerality of that lovely land it was grown in, the rain that watered it, and the sun that warmed it. This is Chenin at its absolute best.
