Winemakers can be a rebellious lot. Premium winemakers who normally pay their bills producing recipe wines for the big brands secretly want to make the kind of wine they love. So, when we want a juicy, peachy Chardonnay from Padthaway, Penfold's region of choice for this grape, all we have to do is ask. Result, premium, tropical Single Vineyard Chardonnay, made from stock stolen from super-premium brands, for next to nothing. And now voted YOUR Wine of The Year, 2008

Best white i have tasted in a long time, this is a lovely light chardonnary, not as heavy as some and not too dry

The 2007 was brilliant; flavoursome and aromatic. This latest example (2009) is poor by any standard.
