Intense cassis flavours positively drip from this wine with a dash of reassuringly expensive oak to keep everything in control. A whopping mouthful of creamy fruit!
There are a few areas in the world that make Cabernet to this standard. But none that can sell them at this price.
Aconcagua is unlike all other Chilean areas. And we happen to know that the winemaker loves to make wines that make her teeth black. She is an Aconcagua lover and no mistake!
We Say...
We were recently delighted by the powers of Aconcagua to make inky, dense and almost Mediterranean style wines. And just when we thought the concentration of fruit couldn't get any better, our friends whipped out the 'reserve' range. Wow.
This is a very good wine for only £7.49. Nice body and colour.

Good South American red - lots of depths to its flavour

not a huge fan of Chilean cab sav, usually a little harsh for my tastes but i must say i found this one extremely smooth, deep and rich and it mellowed nicely during the evening
For me, winemaking is an art, a science and an important way of life that is reflected in Agustinos wines. These wines are built on hard work, starting on the vineyard, where careful management is carried out all year to harvest concentrated low yield grapes. The best blocks of the vineyards are specially selected to make three different styles of wine: Estates Vineyard, Reserves and the Special Blends. Enjoy these wines that invite you to appreciate nature, good food and fellowship (Constanza Schwaderer).
Ruby-red in color with good intensity. Nicely aromatic, the nose is both fruity and spicy and offers notes of toast and coffee with a hint of herbs. The palate shows a very good balance between oak wood and fruit. This is a complex wine with notes of red fruits, cassis, nice body, soft tannins, and a long finish.
