As concentrated as New Zealand Sauvignon but with an extra refreshing dimension. Refined and exuberant at the same time. We love it.
Leaves Sancerre looking distinctly over-priced and slightly embarrassed. Kiwis blush on contact!
This is from the family stocks of wine, their deepest, darkest limestone caves. We'll shout about it quietly.
We Say...
When rubber-stamping the new vintage of one of your all-time favourite whites, Seraph Sauvignon, Francois Chainier, the winemaker, happened to mention an exciting stash of top-drawer boutique Sauvignon he'd been holding back for someone else. But, as I got there first we got the wine! Made using the best grapes from the Chainier family estate this is a straight up, classy swipe at fine Pouilly Fume. Fine and minerally with intense fruit.
A good quality Sauvignon Blanc, but getting a bit bored with it after so many in the mixed cases.

Really tasty white not too dry but very very crisp. Tastes like a £20 bottle and I can't stop buying!
Andrew
Pleasant but a little thin and uninspiring at the price.

The Wine Maker Says...

Andrew was lucky to get away with this one. I actually had the wine in reserve for someone else! But he can be persuasive. I am delighted with the wine itself, although there's none left!
