We were blown away by this wine. Get your fix now to see what all the fuss is about!
Countrylife magazine says:'A peachy, mineral Albarino is spot on with this Iberian influenced squid salad. Albarino is a grape variety native to Galicia, and its acid but textured frutiness is perfect with a wide range of fresh seafood.'
The albarino grape you may not know, but you need to make its acquaintance! It is a tiny-yielding sweet nugget of a thing found only in a small patch of Galicia.
We Say...
We have been ploughing the Albarino furrow for a few years now and we have managed to convert anyone who gets a sniff of it. It is so charming, unique and characterful that it serves our ethos of discovery perfectly. Go on, lift the stone!
Did not get much of the flavour coming through - others are better in that price range

Dry leaving a pleasant tingle on the tongue, particularly when chilled.
The Wine Maker Says...
Name:Pepe Rodriguez Vineyard:Bodegas La Val Country:Spain
2006 has been as amazing vintage in Rias Baixas, and this is important as under-ripeness can happen in this region. So there's plenty of fruit on offer here.
