Araldica d'Aria Gavi Italian White WIne
AWARDS (mouse over to view)
  • This wine is a consistent customer favourite and has lovely, peachy, citrus fruit.
  • There's a legend of a wine from these hills called Gavi de Gavi which is achingly expensive - this Gavi does a pretty good impression at a fraction of the cost.
  • When I found these barrels, I couldn't stop myself tinkering and bagged the more exotic elements to give the richness that makes this wine special.

We Say...

Aromatic, zesty and clean, this cheeky Italian Gavi is bound to become a new favourite. More exotically flavoured than Chardonnay, friendlier than Riesling and more refreshing than Sauvignon Blanc. If you're looking to refresh your cellar and your palate, there are few finer.

The Wine Maker Says...

Name: Claudio Manera
Vineyard: Araldica
Country: Italy

As a co-operative, our job is to create wines suited to modern tastes and to give our members a fair price for their grapes. We do this by providing technical assistance to our growers, paying a premium for grapes of higher quality and through careful winemaking and rigorous selection at the blending stage. We use local grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Cortese to produce wines, modern in style yet true to their origins. We are proud to have been chosen as a supplier for the Virgin House White.

Aromatic, zesty, sherbety nose with apple and pear fruit, and a hint of minerality. Juicy, weighty fruit with a zippy, citric acid mouth watering feel creating a refreshing, satisfying finish.
