If you fancy trying a wine with more fruit, spice and character than it knows what to do with at a price you can afford, then pop one of these in your basket.
If you fancy trying something completely different then this is the wine for you! Mad as a bicycle it nevertheless will leave you smiling and reaching for more.
Unbeatable with all sorts of Oriental and lightly spiced food.
We Say...
A rare chance to try one of the most unique white wines in the World. Gewurztraminer is largely exclusive to Alsace - we think other wine producing countries are just too scared to take it on as it's hard to imagine it tasting any better than this. The Grand Cru rating means it's strictly Champion's League. Explosive aromas of spice and lychees, full bodied and with a finish so long you'll be tasting it into next year.
Excellent but just a touch sweeter on my palate than the rating given
Tim
This is a great wine full of interesting flavour. A bit too sweet for food but a great Aperitif.

The Wine Maker Says...
Name:Jean Michel Lihrmann Country:France
This selected vineyard 'Grand Cru' Gewurztraminer shows a lovely balance of ripeness, varietal purity and finesse. Golden yellow in colour, it has powerfully fragrant rose-petal/water, lychee and apricot aromas with a hint of sweet spice. Rich and almost tropical but with fine structure and complexity, spicy, juicy fruit and acidity combine well on the medium-dry finish. Can work well as an appertif wine to get the taste buds tingiling.
