Castillo de Anna Gran Reserva 2005

We like to provide a personal service. So, when you said you wanted one of your favourite Gran Reserva with more fruit and aged in oak slightly longer, we poked our heads around the winery door and asked the winemakers to do just that. They did. Cinnamon and forest fruit flavours of the Tempranillo grapes are combined with spicy, toasty oak to make this soft, complex Valencian red. It doesn't lounge around like a chubby, couch-potato Rioja, it's energetic, well-toned & great with roast lamb.

Gran Villa Gran Reserva 2002
Type: Merlot blends
This wine is a real find for those of you who like fully mature red wines. Not only is this more than a decade old, it is also still vibrant and cherry red in the glass and bursting with fruit on the nose and palate. With Merlot, Cabernet and the Riojan varietal Graciano, adding some romance and 'je ne sais quoi', making up the constituent parts of this blend, there is some beautiful teamwork on the go here in this mellow, cultured red.
