English white wine to be served at royal wedding

Guests at the royal wedding might not be drinking wines from Italy, South Africa or Chile but will be sipping on some of the finest tipples England has to offer.

After Prince William and his new wife Catherine Middleton have tied the knot on Friday (April 27th 2011), they will no doubt like to enjoy a cool glass of white wine to celebrate their big day.

And in honour of their heritage, they have decided that almost everything they eat and drink at the receptions that day will come from the UK, including the beverages, the Daily Mail reports.

Speaking with the newspaper, a senior royal aide said: "The theme will be British wherever possible."

Millions of people up and down the country are expected to be celebrating on Friday and can toast the newly-weds with a sparkling tipple, such as Tempus III Cava Brut that has great structure for a fizz.
