They always say you should never judge a book by its cover. This can be applied to wine too as this supple red isn't much to look at, but once tasted you'll be pleased you saw past the slightly dull exterior - ripe fruit gallore!
Type: Sauvignon Blanc
It would seem unlikely that the Aussies could come up with something better, something cooler, than the Kiwis. But this is a wonderful example of sweet-spot growing of grapes - the right one, in the right place. Try this lively pup with shellfish and molluscs, sea-going or otherwise.
Type: Cabernet blend
A beautifully mature Barossa that will redefine your impression of Barossa reds as being only bottled beasts. Rather, this blend is mellowed, the fruit and oak harmonised, so the punch is softened. Earthy and natural, this is pedigree ageing Barossa. And it's just lovely.
Type: Merlot
This wine is so easy going it is untrue, the original crowd pleasing red. They've won countless awards since setting up over 50 years ago and it's still very much a family run affair at McGuigan Winery in the Hunter Valley.

Type: Cabernet Sauvignon
An absolute belter of a red produced from some of South Australia’s top vineyard sites. You really need to thank our man in Oz, Steve, for working with only the best growers around town and his insistence that only the best grapes go into this release.
Type: Riesling
A beautifully balanced, Award-winning Riesling dessert wine, made from raisiny-rich grapes, by talented winemaker Stephanie Toole. Fragrant and luscious honey and spice flavours are cut through with a crisp, lime citrus zing.

Type: Syrah / Shiraz
A great Shiraz - the sort that really gives you a tingle on the tongue and a warm rosy glow in the stomach. Jammy flavours at the forefront and a peppery kick to finish things off. The kind of wine that would floor a side of beef in seconds.

Type: Sauvignon Blanc
If there is such a thing in Australia, grapes grown in Adelaide Hills produce cooler climate style wines. Sauvignon flourishes in such conditions and this single vineyard wine is a great value rival to the New Zealand Marlborough style.
Type: Syrah / Shiraz
This highly rated gem is something of an obsession here in the office. Everything you'd expect from a brooding, devilish red from the Barossa Valley. Don't take our word for it, just look at the plethora of 5* ratings from yourselves!

Type: Syrah / Shiraz
Don't think Abba when you see Xanadu. Think special Shiraz from Western Australia scored in a deal so cheekily cheap, we still get the guilty vibes. On the bright side, we have this one-off red that was too good to refuse.
