Hi my name is Tewsday and I am a Customer Services Advisor here at Virgin Wines. As you can see my name is quite unusual and a lot of customers often get confused and call me Trudy – so if you call in and think the girl on the end of the phone is called Trudy, you are talking to me!!
My job here at Virgin Wines is varied and my day can consist of many tasks, including helping customers with vouchers and placing orders, and updating customers on their deliveries.
I am known as the crazy cat lady in the office, as I adore anything with cats on. (I have even bought bottles of wine with cats on, and begged our wine buyer to bring in a Hello Kitty wine from Italy.) I enjoy spending my spare time with my husband and my lovely British Shorthair cat called Lester.
My wine choice (sadly has no cat on the label!) is the beautiful sparkling Kiki Sparkling Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2009 at £10.99 per bottle.I am not a massive fan of Sauv Blanc to be truthful, so I was a little wary of this wine initially, but as a bubbly fan I needed to try it!
I was very surprised on how delicate the flavours are in this wine. If you find new world Sauv Blancs a bit too in your face, this is a perfect tipple for you. It is lightly sparkling with just a subtle hint of Sauvignon Blanc character. The taste lingers and coats your mouth with lovely citrus taste of passion fruit. My husband and I enjoyed a bottle of this wine the other night watching a movie. At such a fantastic price you can drink it all the time and not have to leave the bubbles for a special occasion!
