As you may have seen from the posts on our Facebook page and Twitter feed last Thursday, the search was on for Richard Branson’s lost diary. Throughout the day clues (in the form of puzzles) from the thief, AKA the Crimson Bandit, appeared on the Facebook pages of many of the companies within the Virgin group in order to give fans a “fighting chance” of finding Richard’s diary. But after 24 hours of clues, lots of prize giveaways and input from the majority of Virgin companies from around the world, it became apparent that there was a bit more to it than just a hijacked diary. There was no Crimson bandit and there was no stolen diary!
Instead, the hunt for Richard’s diary was carefully engineered by our friends at Virgin Management as part of the third Virgin Social Media Marathon. The Social Media Marathon is a twice yearly event that sees all the Virgin companies around the world come together for 24 hours of Facebooking and Tweeting. Thursday’s event saw around 30 companies participate and was considered the most successful marathon yet!
We’d like to thank everyone who played along and pass on our congratulations to all the prize winners. Oh and if you are still wondering how to solve the “clue” that we posted on our Facebook page, we’ll put you out of your misery below.
