There have been a lot of fisticuffs over Pinot Grigio. Basically the Italians can't make as much as we all want to drink. But we have managed to come out on top. While everyone else was playing around with their calculators, we went and bought our wine before the vintage was finished. And it turns out we got a great price too.

Aromatic, zesty and clean, this cheeky Italian Gavi is bound to become a new favourite. More exotically flavoured than Chardonnay, friendlier than Riesling and more refreshing than Sauvignon Blanc. If you're looking to refresh your cellar and your palate, there are few finer.

If you've marked Rosés down as the overly sweet sickly wines of the Mateus Era then think again. Times have changed. Modern Rosés are refreshing, fruitier and more substantial than a white but crisper and lighter than a red. They're perfect to enjoy all year round, not only in the summer. This rosé has all the zest and verve of a Pinot Grigio, with some of the flavour and colour from the pink skins squeezed into it. Refreshing, thirst quenching and more-ish, it's a can't go wrong, pleases-everyone wine.

Sometimes it's good to strip away the trappings and go back to basics. This exquisite Muscat needs to be sipped for the sheer pleasure of drinking wine. Clean and tasting of grapes, its honest simplicity makes it a lovely all-rounder. It's all about appreciating the simple things in life, and this cold-pressed undemanding beauty, made especially for us by Claudio Manera, is definitely worth everyone's appreciation.

Made by one of the best producers in Piedmont. Super pure with a wonderful Pinot Grigio character from the low-yield grapes. The number one craving when the sun comes out. No wonder it's so in vogue.

If you enjoy good Chianti and Uncle Buffty is coming round to check out your cellar, then why not invest in a bottle of this fine Sangiovese. Not only will you be able to confound the duffer with your tremendously eclectic tastes, you'll also have a wonderful bottle of raspberry and dark cherry flavours to look forward to, with a dash of cinnamon thrown in for free. You'd be mad to ignore this opportunity.

All winemakers dream of making a wine that is the best it can be, without compromise. Claudio was in a better position than most, because he has a state of the art winery and the pick of the grapes in his region. After 4 years, countless blends that were good but not good enough, and endless reworking we finally had the result. A dinner party classic.

Grown in Trentino in the foothills of the Alps, this little beauty delivers pure clean and crisp lemony lime Pinot Grigio fruit. Hard to think of a more refreshing drop. The great thing about PG is that there is no bad time to serve this wine - with food, before food, after food, just go for it!

The Lacrima grape is an ancient, indiginous and very flavorful grape grown in an area bordering the Morro d'Alba zone in the hills of the Marche region. Lacrima means `tear' and could well have been named after the teardrop shapes of the grapes. This variety has almost died out, but don't shed a tear. Since AOC recognition in 1985 it has won new fans across the world with its velvety texture, herbal red-berry taste and willingness to be enjoyed with white fish, pasta and (Julius) Caesar salad.

Aside from the beautiful name, an irresistible wine. Made from the Moscato grapes (the deliciously sweet Italian table grape) which are hand picked and semi-dried to concentrate the wine. With a deliciously sharp edge that stops it from being cloying.
