• We started working with the team at Indomita late last year and have been very impressed to say the least!
• This exclusive Pinot Noir is crafted by head winemaker Roberto Carranca.
• Situated just 20 miles from the Pacific coast, the cool morning fogs that envelope the valley, combined with the gently sloping vineyards, provide the ideal cool climate in which Pinot Noir thrives.

The long, slow ripening of the grapes allows them to develop enticing cherry and plum flavours whilst, crucially, still retaining enough freshening acidity to produce a beautiful, balanced wine. Roberto matured a portion of the wine in French oak barrels, which adds roundness and a hint of spice to the finished wine. The perfect accompaniment to a roast chicken!

It is a rare thing to taste a Pinot Noir that is really good, being the fickle beast that it undoubtedly is. It is an even rarer to taste one that is both good and within the reach of anyone who hasn't stolen a controlling share or two in a Russian commodities company. Yes, this beautifully layered, textured, ripe Pinot is better than Burgundies at twice the price and it easily limbos under the critical £10 mark to boot. It has delicate cherry fruit and is sensational when served slightly chilled.
