The name comes from the winemaker's latest venture, the rearing of big black pigs for making his very own version of Iberico bellota ham. Using fruit sourced from his personal contacts in the Clare Valley, winemaker Steve Grimley has produced a smooth, mouth-filling wine. A revelation if you're more used to the thumping, ostentatious style typical of the more traditional Barossa fare.

Steve Grimley has vast winemaking experience that spans 3 continents and an unbridled energy that has seen his small, family-owned winery quickly establish an enviable reputation. He's passionate about Single Vineyards and the personalities involved within them and constantly seeking unique parcels of fruit to further expand our bulging portfolio of wines. His immense knowledge of the great wines of the world ensures the continued evolution of our range and is the fuel from which our fire is lit.
"To me, a truly great wine is more about the sizzle than the sausage. I grew up in the Barossa, so wine's pretty much part of your culture from day one. Given our type of business, the styles of wine we make and my individual personality, all these combine to drive us down the 'winemaking way of one'. It's easy to manipulate, but when you leave things alone they just represent what they are - the variety, origin and working patterns, stored in a bottle." - Steve Grimley
Type: Syrah / Shiraz
Deep black-fruit flavours with heaps of liquorice and spice, this is seriously top-notch kit, acquired from a boutique winery that must remain, sadly, nameless. Just one sip and you'll be hooked on it!
Type: Syrah / Shiraz
Don't think Abba when you see Xanadu. Think special Shiraz from Western Australia scored in a deal so cheekily cheap, we still get the guilty vibes. On the bright side, we have this one-off red that was too good to refuse.
Type: Syrah / Shiraz
A purely expressed and clarion wine, the very essence of the grape itself. This lucky fruit from Chile enjoys a long growing season, mostly consisting of sunbathing, which favours aromatic development and ultimate finesse.
