The predominance of Pinot Noir provides a structure typical to Clicquot, while a touch of Pinot Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine. Grapes from as many as 50-60 different Crus go to the blending of Brut Yellow Label, all chosen by our Cellar master. Winemaker, Dominic Demarville, says "Quality is the Veuve Clicquot philosophy. Madame Clicquot's motto was: "one quality only, the finest". It is the same under my rule."
It is a golden yellow with a foaming necklace of tiny bubbles. Pleasing to the nose, initially reminiscent of white fruits, then of vanilla, and later of brioche. It has a balance between the fruit aromas coming from the grape varieties and the toast aromas following the aging in the bottle. It manages to reconcile forcefulness and finesse, and to hold them in perfect balance. This consistent power to please makes it ideal as an aperitif and perfect as the Champagne to enjoy with a meal

Good solid champagne best bang for buck champagne
I've tried a lot of champagnes and quite a few more pricey than this, but I don't think Veuve can be beaten. So tasty, well structured, mousse-y. Absolutely delightful.
