Karu Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
- Expect juicy red fruit, with lovely ripeness, to assail your senses here together with a nice vanilla undertone to keep things warm and comforting.
- Exactly like Bordeaux. But cheaper. More ripe and fruity. Less green. Less hyped. And not always being trumpeted, like Bordeaux, as the greatest vintage since the dawn of time.

Occasionally an involuntary smile will creep over my face when I'm tasting with a new winemaker. And so it was with Cesar Morales. Not because he's a loveable sort of character, which he is, but because I could see exactly what he was up to in the wine. He's great. And it's all about pure, unadulterated, natural fruit with this guy.
