Nestled between the Andes and the coastal range mountains of Chile is a hive of winemaking activity in the Valle Central. Here our winemaker, Jose Miguel Ovalle has worked his magic creating bold and fruity Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon blends. With the bright sunshine and toasty temperatures, these red grapes feel at home within this valley. As a result, this wine is bursting with succulent notes of red and black fruits complemented by hints of spice and subtle tannins on the palate. This wine is a real treat! As you walk through the rolling vineyards of the Cramele Recas estate, if you didn't know where you were you'd be convinced you were in Northern Rhône or any other "Classic" European wine producing region - and to a certain extent you are. Romania has a history of winemaking stretching back millennia. So, whilst you may not recognise the name of the region or the grape variety, you are in very safe hands with this full bodied and sumptuously fruity red.

La Novena ('the ninth') references the ninth parcel of Garnacha that completes the wine. Garnacha plantings in Cariñena are aplenty thanks to the grape's excellent suitability to the region. But however vast these plantings may be, there will always be little pockets with a slightly different microclimate or soil that changes the wine. These pockets, or 'parcels', can be brought in and vinified separately and then put back together based on taste, so you can ensure the wine that ends up in the glass ticks all the boxes.

Winemaker Fernando Torres has used French-native grape Carménère here to great effect. Hand-harvested from the best sites in the Valle Central, he has the wisdom to allow the grape to dictate its own dark, deeply scented and deliciously silky character. Serve with lamb meatballs and tomato sauce or grilled stuffed peppers for the perfect pairing.

Wine may be considered art by many, but it's the science behind each particular vineyard that shapes the character of the finished wine: location; climate, soil plus that little enigmatic something that the French call "terroir". This Sauvignon Blanc hails from a fine single site in a unique desert-influenced location, where searing sun coaxes the grapes to perfect ripeness, whilst cooling breezes provide welcome coolness, imbuing the fruit with great depth of flavour. It shows tight and bright tropical fruit but remains restrained and controlled with a lovely refreshing edge to it. A singular expression of a unique and special place.

When you think of a classic Pinot Grigio, you think bright citrus and pear notes paired with a zingy freshness. Vitalita Pinot Grigio is the epitome of this style. Bursting with fresh notes of lemon, lime, pear and a hint of exotic fruit, it is a great example of the easy-going yet sophisticated Pinot Grigio from the Veneto region. It is best enjoyed chilled making it a crisp and refreshing tipple for all occasions.

The Pizo series is about expression of varietal character. And at over 650m above sea level in the foothills of the Iberian Mountains this is a perfect spot for vines to show their true charm. The south-facing aspect ripens the grapes with ease but the altitude keeps freshness at the forefront of the wine. Pizo Garnacha Blanca has an elegant combination of citrus and white flower aromas with a subtle mineral background. On the palate it has characteristic herbal notes and sour pear. Do not hold back - this is a stunner.

Our Brio Famoso is yet another wine wonder from Italy. With over 600 native grape varieties, there is always something new to find when travelling through this food heaven. However, like many, Famoso has been facing extinction until a very recent resurgence in popularity. Its immense natural freshness is countered by a mouth-filling texture, both of which combine to make for a great partner to spicy Asian food, particularly those with a coconut or cream sauce.
